Genesis Aleph Sunset

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. — Genesis 1:5

Time began with a sound. Scientists call this the Big Bang. According to the Bible, in Genesis 1, that sound was “yuh-hee”.  That sound is the pronunciation of the Hebrew word for: “Be”. The next sound was “ore”, which is the pronunciation for the Hebrew word “Light” The grammar differs from Hebrew into English. In English, we translate these words, to the command, “Let there be light.” In the Hebrew it is also a command, but more direct, of “Light Be!”

Interestingly, Hebrew repeats, visually showing the power of the LORD’s Words right there in the first word of the Bible. Literally the Hebrew says: “And God said, “Light be! And light be (is). In Hebrew the letter vav before any word means the English word of “and”. The vav kind of resembles a spear. You can see the repetition of the Hebrew letters for yourself without needed to know any Hebrew here: יְהִי אוֹר; וַיְהִי-אוֹר

The KJV, and many other translations, including Jewish ones, say, “And there was light.” While that is the gist of the Hebrew, grammatically the tense is changed to the past. In the actual Hebrew the tense in now. NOW. With us –with you, dear reader, now, as you read this. The words of the Lord God are Now. For us, for you –NOW.

Look around. The basic teeniest building blocks of everything you can see, touch, taste, smell and feel in the physical universe is created by the Words of the Lord God. Elementary physicists call these strings. There are amazing corollaries between scientists’ string theory and Torah font Hebrew that you can discover is the “Painting with the Big Bang of Genesis 3+ minute video on ungravenimage.com and on YouTube.

That is what I paint and draw. The words of the Lord God with us NOW, creating the physical universe of light waves, and pre-matter, that we walk in, breath in, laugh in and cry in even, from moment to moment.

“And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.” – Genesis 1:5

A sunset began the First Day, and according to the Bible, it begins every day. A sunset is a promise of a new beginning.

Genesis Aleph depicts a sunset, that promise of a new beginning. The strokes of Genesis Aleph are the Torah font letters of Genesis 1-2:7.

Place this artwork in your home or where you spend time – and hopefully can see it often to remind you of the ever-present Word that we walk in, and the hope and promises that that Word brings – even though we are not always awake of it as we move through life. This is truly inspirational art.
